My research involves modular forms, elliptic curves, and moonshine. I am more broadly interested in number theory, algebra, geometry, and mathematical physics.
I obtained my Ph.D. in 2021 from the Department of Mathematics at Emory University. My advisor was John Duncan.
I have an undergraduate degree in Physics (with a minor in Mathematics) from Lahore University of Management Sciences, in Lahore, Pakistan.
I enjoy teaching and spend a lot of time thinking about effective and inclusive teaching practices. I have earned two teaching fellowships during my time in graduate school. You can find details about the fellowships here.
I co-organize a virtual seminar titled "What is... a seminar?" with Alexander Clifton. Please see the seminar website for more information, and sign up to give a talk here.
My non-mathematical hobbies include photography and cooking.
